Fake Google Chrome 2016 Annual Visitor Survey or Questionnaire

I had to download SafarI on my PC to open a file which also installed an Apple app. I uninstalled both when I completed my task but soon saw the Chrome 2018 Annual Visitor Survey and another pop up of a fake virus attack.

I've not installed, downloaded or opened any other files or programs then or since,

got a survay like this right now. offered a samsung 9 in 1$ for participating; gave a fake info to see what will happen and my computer blocked a threat.

Received a survey link today - 5:45AM.

I had participated in the survey but now the link failed

I received Monday 20th March 1.30 am in the morning; this chrome survey saying for winning a mini cooper. Unfortunately I completed it providing personal contact information till I realized that sth was wrong. Is this dangerous? what should I do? can chrome/google protects us?

Directed me to "tesco" site where they claim I COULD win voucher.

Just had one of these pop-ups claiming to be a Chrome Opinion Survey to 'trust' a Dyson hairdryer but it looked like a scam to me. I didn't fill in any personal information. It even used the Chrome logo but there was no info saying exactly who this was. Can't Google stop this?

Just be careful next time, because the scammers will contact you in an attempt to scam you, using the information that you have submitted.

I've been sharked by this survey too. Yhank God because I've asked on Yahoo before I continue.

They are offering the chance to win an iPod 7 today. Running a scan. Wish I could remeber what I was looking at when pop-up appeared.

I got it several times today while on "words with friends". It took over the page so "words with friends" was no longer there. Did a Norton scan and nothing was found.

I was browsing several info sites on google.... papparazzI type sites. The 'google user of the year questionaire' pop up appeared.... I just exited the site...has happened several times of late.

Just got it, and got all the way to the end when it became fishy. Closed the window.

This survey was forced upon me by the chromium browser in Ubuntu. First two clicks on any website led to the survey. I had to uninstall the chromium browser because even after reinstalling the problem persists.

How do I get rid of it?
