Your LinkedIn.com Account has Exceeded its Limit and Needs Verification Phishing Scam

The email message below, which claims that the recipients' LinkedIn accounts have exceeded their limit and need verification, is a phishing scam sent by cyber-criminals to trick LinkedIn users into sending them their email addresses, usernames and passwords. Once the cyber-criminals have possession of their victims’ LinkedIn information, they will use it to hijack their accounts.
