1-646-598-4273 - It is Being Used by Lottery Scammers

Do not call the telephone number 1-646-598-4273 or follow instructions from a caller who called you from the same number. This is because the number is being by lottery scammers to trick their potential victims into believing they are Facebook lottery winners. The scammers will then ask their potential victims to send them iTunes gift cards in order to collect their so-called lottery prize.

Remember, there is no Facebook lottery and once you are asked to send money, gift cards or other forms of payment in order to receive a so-called lottery prize, it is a SCAM.

This is How the Scam Works

Today, I received a friend's request from Mary Jerkins, Kansas City, Kansas. When I accepted, she proceeded to tell me I had won the Facebook Lottery. She showed me pictures of other winners. Then had a Mr. Martins contact me from 1-646-598-4273 to give me details on how to collect my winnings. I was to buy an ITUNES gift card, scratch off the back, send them a picture of it, and they would send my winnings on an ATM card within the next 5 hours. Upon further questioning they just told me if I didn't want to claim my winnings that were up to me that he (Mr. Martins) had more winners to notify.
