the 'David Video' Malicious Facebook Message
Facebook users who have received messages like the one below that reads "David Video" with a bit.ly link are asked to delete them. They should also not click on the link because it goes to fake and malicious websites that trick visitors into downloading and installing viruses, ransomware, adware, spyware and other malware disguised as legitimate Adobe Flash Updates, Flash Player or Google Chrome extensions.

The links may also go to phishing websites disguised as the legitimate Facebook website that steal Facebook account credentials (usernames and passwords) by asking visitors to sign-in. If the visitors attempt to sign-in, their credentials will be sent to the cyber criminals behind the malicious messages. Once the cyber criminals have received the stolen Facebook credentials, they will use it to gain access to their victims' accounts, hijack and use them fraudulently.
Facebook users who have already received the malicious messages and who have already clicked on the links in them are asked to change their Facebook passwords immediately. Facebook users should also scan their computers for viruses and other malware using the antivirus software installed them.
