Online users, if you have received emails like the one below, please delete them. Or, if you have received emails claiming your mailboxes are due for updates for security reasons and threaten to close the same mailboxes if you do not follow the instructions in the same emails, please delete them also. This is because the emails are fakes being sent by cybercriminals to trick their potential victims into visting phishing websites that steal email account credentials (usersnames, passwrods).

Online users who have already fallen for the scam are asked to change their email account passwords before their accounts are hijacked and used fraudulently by the cybercriminals responsible for the fake and phishing emails.
