Website name owners, be aware of fraudulent Chinese domain name registration emails like the one below that came from the fake website chinaregistryshanghai.com. The fraudulent email messages should not be responded to, especially with personal or financial information. And, the instructions in the same fraudulent email messages should not be followed. Every month, thousands of these email messages are sent out by scammers to trick website owners into paying them for a fraudulent service, which the scammers claim will be used to purchase their Chinese (.CN) domain names.

We arrived serveral emails like these:
"We have not heard from you. Hope you everything goes well.

As to the last email I sent to you regarding the China domain and keyword. Anyone can obtain China domain names (edu-land.cn, edu-land.com.cn, edu-land.net.cn, edu-land.org.cn) and internet keyword by registration because your company haven't registered this name as China domain names and internet keyword on the internet. You must know the domain name and internet keyword based on the international principle are opened to company as well as individual. Also, we have suggested they should choose another name but they persist in this name. Under this situation, we have told your company have priority right to register China domain name and internet keyword during our dispute period. The dispute period is about to come to an end soon. After that, it will result in these CN domains and keyword being available to the other party. Could you tell us whether or not your company want to register these China domain names and internet keyword to prevent anyone from using them?
