The "Col. Dasuki Sambo" Advance Fee Scams Being Sent by Online Scammers
The fake "Col. Dasuki Sambo" email below is a scam. Recipients are asked to delete it and should not follow the instructions in it. The fake email is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into sending them money or personal information. An advance-fee scam is a form of fraud and one of the most common types of confidence trick. The content of this mail are expressed in confidence and solely for your personal consideration. Where this does not conform with your interest, please indicate in your reply so that I will seek for the interest of someone else.
I am Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), former national security adviser. I am using this medium to request for your assistance in transferring ownership of the sum of $28.8m presently invested in an offshore bank in Europe. The fund is proceed from over inflated military contract awarded during my time as the national security adviser.
Your assistance is needed to transfer ownership of this fund to you for mutual business investment in your country before the funds will be discovered by the government. Thus far, the Nigerian government has not traced this account and it will remain so to the extent that this proposal remains confidential between us.
