Is Newport Apparel a Trustworthy Clothing Online Store?

Most of the other reviews for newport are negative, but my experience was extremly positive. Yes, the coat I ordered was manufactured and sent directly from China, but it is of a high quality and fit me perfectly (make sure you look at their size guide and measure yourself! I'm a fairly small man and the "large" coat I ordered fit perfectly because I measured myself before ordering).

Not a scam. Just make sure you measure yourself properly first before ordering.

Newport Apparel IS A SCAM! Chinese based company posing as US based and producing very poor quality clothing! FaceBook should remove their advertising. Don’t go near them!

The only conclusion I can possibly come to is that this is a rip off site. Sizes are most definitely incorrect and returns are impossible! We purchased an XL jacket that was obviously not XL more like a Medium. Luckily there was a mark on one of the sleeves so I was able to return at my expense (UK to USA!) was persuaded to order a replacement rather than refund so ordered XXL.

No way on this earth was the replacement XXL more like medium or even small. Can only assume it was made in a land where people are very small!

Unable to return this jacket due to the ridiculous returns policy! DO NOT SHOP HERE - ITS A SCAM!

They should not be permitted to advertise on Facebook!

I am going through the same problem right now. Their sizes are completely off and when you try to return it (even though it says you can do it within 30 days) they tell you they're only going to give you $10 and push you to get a different size or something else. Why hasn't this been shut down is beyond me.

Disgusting quality and missed size. Xlg can't fit a baby. I am talking adult xlg. Total garbage pictures look quality of Neeport R I. Clothes I would not clean my car with.

Sadly I have been scammed by this so called company, really disappointed, thought I was buying from a reputable company something special for my husbands birthday.... only two of the five items have arrived and it's been over a month! Wish I had researched before placing an order.
Please stay away from this corrupt scam!

So I took a chance and ordered the navy blue "wool" mariners coat with white fleece, and yeah, I got ripped off. The material was very thin and not wool at all, and it was three sizes too small. Rather than deal with the hassle of a return and trying to get my money back, I just gave it to my skinny 13-year old son.

The supposedly XL coat fits him perfectly.

I had the same bad experience. Make sure you read their return policy. They actually have a section "Your Responsibility", which is laughable. For example, to make a return because of sizing issue, you have to submit a photo AND you have to use a ruler to measure their product in the photo.

Their size chart stated M is 38-40 for Chest. So, I send them a picture of my chest measurement, too. They won't refund because they said product is not defect. What a load of #$%^!! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK FROM THIS COMPANY!

Can only agree. Very poor quality drop shipment company (parcel arrives directly from China). Give your money to the a person in need instead. You will feel better than having received an item from this company.

Very poor quality. Not American, all shipments come from China. Site permanently says "Sale ends today". Basically a scam site in that they know the cost of returning to China isn't worth the trouble.

This site is a total scam. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

Ordered two coats, took over three weeks to get on and four to get the second.

Both coats had descriptions that there zipper closures on them, neither coat had zippers.

Order size XL based on sizing chart, the one coat had the XL tag inside and underneath it was the remainder of tax that had been cut off and you can see the letter "M" on it.

When actually measuring the coats both were mediums according to their sizing chart.

E-mailed customer service and they offered to take them back at a 15% restocking fee plus I would have to pay shipping back to China where they came from.

Or I could keep them and receive a 25% credit back to my credit card or a credit coupon to use toward another purchase.

Total scam and the company is a total fraud.

Stay far far away from them.
