Scamming - Fraud
Today I received the fraudulent "McAfee renewing subscription" email below, which asked me to call telephone number 855-984-9513. I do not have McAfee installed on my computer, never has. So, do not be fooled by the scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into replying to their emails or calling the telephone number listed in the fake emails.

I just got snookered by this. I got a popup saying my McAfee protection expired today and a click here to renew.Since I was in the middle of a situation that had my attention, and I had already received an email reminder from McAfee that my subscription was due to be automatically renewed next month, I didn't think anything about it - I clicked the Renew button filled out the credit card and address info, clicked the submit button and got this email.I immediately called my bank and reported the situation and had the card shut down. Hopefully I got it in time.Oh, and the "renewal" was $10 more than the real McAfee expiration reminder email said it would be.
