Is Milamode a Scam? Review of the Online Store

I never had an issue with Milamode except it took weeks to get my items once ordering them. They are legit.

I have a dozen or more times from them and never had a bad experience. Shirts exactly as expected, fit just right and quality product.

The first shirt I bought from Milamode was meh. Sized really a large Large. The material was claimed to be cotton/linen but felt synthetic. The 2nd shirt was described as Cotton, actually was Cotton/polyester. The Large size was a joke. At best it was Small, maybe even a boys size. I complained online and got so many hoops to jump through to get a refund I settled for a 30% refund and kept the crappy shirt. DO NOT buy their products.

Not a total scam but: I ordered four shirts, about $25 each, because I like the designs. I got exactly what I ordered, size large, and they fit. However, thin poly and not high quality sewing. Took a very long time to arrive from China. Customer service from China was responsive when I had a problem with local post office delivery. Love the designs but know before you buy that quality may be sub standard.

I had a great experience with them. Purchased a new stage shirt. It arrived within a week and fit perfect I get lots of compliments.

The printed letters were pealing off when I opened the box.

I bought an extra large, it wouldn't fit a skinny midget.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I ordered a sweater two months ago; paid for one week delivery. I have not received the merchandise. Customer service is a complete joke; customer service representative (if you can actually connect with one without being placed on hold for eternity) said they need to talk to a supervisor, placed me on hold, and then hung up on me. I called back, same thing happened again.

I received my item. However it was extremely small. I normally wear L/Xl. My girlfriend is a S/M depending on the manufacturer for both of us.
The sweater was XL and it didn't even fit my girlfriend. Now I have to pay for a return and they want to use my refund towards another item. No way! So I will have to return it again?

I ordered a shirt, unable to reach them, and I already paid them.

If you are a victim of their fraud, you are able to request a FULL refund from your credit card company. This office will provide a letter to support your refund request. Milimode is engaged in deceptive business practices and false advertising and consumer fraud. Products are inferior and fraudulently marked. The company fails to process refunds and runs the consumer in circles as they try to negotiate a refund.

Good to know. Will stop me from buying a shirt. Dang it, they had some cool looking shirts that I thought would be fun for my male family members for holiday gifts.

Is this against Milamode Shirts that look ace…?

I was wondering where they are situated because I would absolutely buy some of these shirts. Some of them look grouse…

I was about to order a shirt as well when My wife said to check them out. They do have a nice selection, but after reading these reviews, I will save my money and shop elsewhere.

I bought from Milamode twice for a total of 7 shirts. After receiving my first order of 3 shirts I was satisfied with the product's quality for the price paid. On my second order, I felt the same way except 1 of the 4 shirts was way smaller than the tag's 2XL markings. Milamode offered me a choice between a 15% refund on the item if I kept it, or paying to ship and insure the item to China to get a full refund. I took the partial refund but will NEVER AGAIN do business with a company like this that won't fully stand behind any product they sell. They should have had a USA address to return merchandise and process refunds! I will be sure to read return / refund policies as well as online reviews before placing orders with any company from this point on!

Rip off company should be shut down.

Wanted to return a sloppily sewn shirt. I went to their return site and learned that I was basically screwed.

First, I had to make a decision within seven days or I would be SOL.

Second, you can't return the item to their US shipping partner. It has to go back to China and pay for international shipping.

Third, as a consolation, they'll refund 15% of the product price if I didn't want to ship the product back. Or a 30% credit toward the next purchase.

So, they ship you a crappy product and then insult you. This company is another typical Chinese schlock operation. Avoid them at all costs!

I have received your response to my queries re: returning an inappropriately sized shirt that, through zero fault of my own, does not fit me. I am completely dissatisfied by your comment that the return expense will be mine. That is not MY problem, it is Yours.

As the sellers of a product that is so obviously wrongly sized, these are your options:

Refund my full purchase price and pay return shipping costs
or
Refund my money without my returning the shirt, as you stated that the cost of shipping internationally (FOR YOU) is too expensive.

So, as you can see, you can save the return shipping costs by refunding my money and not require the return of a useless shirt, as any reputable and ethical company would prefer to do. This would be the much wiser path for you to take.

I am one fingertip away from using my many contacts and advertisers and social
media to show how unscrupulous and unethical your company is should you not issue me a full refund.

I have ordered 8 shirts in total from your company, 7 of which fit as expected. Are you such poor business people that you prefer to lose much more business from me (and everyone I know) as well as receive many bad social media and advertising reviews) ?

I didn't order but got suspicious when I couldn't find a phone number for this outfit. Then doing a Google search and seeing the negative comments only confirmed by suspicion.

Totally agreed with others re: this scam. ZERO customer service on returns, poor quality, all sizes are so small nobody could comfortably wear the items. STAY AWAY

Made the same mistake as others who ordered items from milamode. Overpriced items for a cheap product. Too costly to send back for a refund. $100.00 from Nevada. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. BUY AMERICAN!

This company is a RIP-OFF ...Do NOT order from them.. Ordered 3 shirts, all three were no where close to size advertised...now worthless junk...cost more to send them back to China than they are worth.....

DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I recently received 3 shirts for $71 (total) that were too small and come to find out that it would cost me $74 to ship them back to China. They try to discourage you from returning the product by offering you 20% of your product in dollars to pay a tailor to alter the shirts, what a ripoff. Now I'm stuck with 3 useless rags costing me $71, uurrr

If I could give zero or negative stars I would. You are unable to file a dispute on BBB as the company never responded to the five they had from the end of 2020 shortly after their site was started on BBB. I just want to discourage others from falling into their tricks of ripping people off of their hard-earned money and especially during these current times of a pandemic when people don't have that extra money to just throw away. They should be ashamed of such actions when all of us as human beings are just trying to survive for the last 2 years.

Their sizing is nowhere near normal sizing, a XXL is more equivalent to a Medium, maybe a Large if you're lucky. This company knows what they're doing when they ship you these poor quality products in the wrong sizes that you're not going to spend a ton of money and deal with customs for shipping to return them. They laugh in your face offering you a 15% refund like that makes a big difference for something you still cannot doing anything with except use it as a rag. What a joke! Nowhere on their website does it state that you will have to return items to China at exorbitant shipping costs and customs forms. This is clearly extortion, what a scam they have going.

The ship from New York charges your card from Raleigh GB and expects you to return the items to China. Seems like quite a shell game to me. The graphics on the shirts are not even good quality, they are all blurry showing obviously they used small graphics and over pixelated them for the shirts resulting in awful graphic reproduction. Their website makes the picture quality printed on the shirts look crystal clear. Hopefully, people will continue to file reviews everywhere they can to get this company shut down. My bad for not reading the prior reviews before purchasing, I now know better in the future. But all of those reviews as well as mine will hopefully save some people this headache and being extorted of their hard-earned money in the future.

Ordered a shirt and shorts 3 XL and received such after the longest time in small which would fit a 10 yr old. I promptly gave them to the neighbor kid and related it to the vendor asking them not to send me any more adds.they promptly replied that they were ordering a $1300.00 HI phone on my account and I took it to my bank which showed no such purchase. I closed my card immediately and now I am deluged with daily advertising from the same vendor....

Just received a couple of shirts from them and they are THE WORST garment I have ever seen. They won't make a return and only offered a 15% discount on the shirts. Unbelievable, they should be banned from selling online!!

The shirts are nothing like the photos. They are made of polyester so flimsy that the shirts are unwearable. Many shirts shown come only in a women's button pattern (the buttons are on the opposite side compared to a men's button pattern) so when a shirt is ordered believing it to be a man's shirt it is actually a woman's shirt. This is not made clear on the website.

I purchased several shirts from Milamode, Inc. First, I was told that 3 out of 4 shirts are on their way and fourth is delayed. After searching on internet, I learnt that this organization is a complete fraud. When I asked for my money back, via email, person on the other end replied that the goods are on their way from China and that it will take a minimum of two weeks.

I informed my credit card company and was advised to wait for couple of weeks before filing a complaint. Likely, I will see my money back from credit card company but the owner of Milamode will benefit.

I highly recommend not conduct any business with this company. Even the phone number they list is disconnected.

Do not buy anything from China. It is fraud most of the time.Even when on Amazon and shipped from china.you run big risk of fraud. Here is an example when even Amazon can not help you

I ordered 1 shirt for my son in law they charged me for 3 all wrong sizes, no shirt was what I asked for, now I am out 3 times the money plus 3 shirts we do not want. I could not afford 3 shirts hard for one.
I am a disabled veteran, live alone, I had no idea they were these kind of people, plus the shirts are not nice!!! HELP I am 75 years old do not know how to deal with.

Open a dispute with your bank to have your money refunded.

Run away as fast as you can before ordering from mailamode. Received a xxl shirt that's barely a medium. When I inquired about a refund or exchange I received a lengthy email explaining the excessive cost and delays for international shipping. I was offered and accepted a 15% refund. I chalked it up to a learning experience, never purchase from this company again. By the way, the quality of the shirt was horrible..

Agree with others who have commented: this company scams customers. They sent me a shirt that didn't match the depiction of the one I ordered. When I tried to sort out the problem with their "customer service," all I got was a run-around. Milamode is a disreputable company that doesn't deliver what it advertises. The only recourse you will have if you deal with them is to pay with a credit card and put the charge in dispute with your credit card company. Save yourself frustration by shopping for shirts elsewhere.

Scam company! they send you incorrect sizes with a virtually non-refund policy that you have to jump through several hoops and pay HUGE customs fees to return to China even though it's sent from Los Angeles.

You may think you're getting a bargain but what you get is the cheapest, thinest, unwearable, polyester junk. They make returns and refunds impossible. Just light a match to the bills you were going to spend with them and avoid the aggravation.

I bought 4 shirts online from this place. The online pictures were quite different from the actual ones.
I received the items in two shipments, three shirts in the first shipment. Two of these shirts arrived with the labels cut off, leaving no brand or size label and those two shirts don't fit. The third shirt didn't fit either. They had pulled treads and poor sewing around the buttons. I contacted the seller that I wanted to return the items back and they offered a 15% discount that I refused. They responded that I must return the shirts to Guangdong, China, at my expense and if the items are damaged with several other conditions there will be no refund. I believe these shirts may be stolen (why would they cut the labels) and it is unfair to ship a damaged product and expect me to send them a good one back to China at my cost while the damaged shirts were shipped to me from California.

Here we go again. I ordered 2 XL linen pants and 2 XL shirts. I received pants with a waist size of 23" for one and 26" for the second. Their size chart says XL should be 43" at the waist. One shirt was wearable but a little tight. The men's shirt label says MISSLOOK. The other was probably a medium. I think this business model is based on sending you anything on hand and offering the 15% refund. That's $3.00 on a $20. pair of pants. The lesson is to check reviews first. Not only do returns go to China but the customer pays, postage, customs, taxes, repackaging if needed.

I received my order from Milamode today. I ordered a men's shirt, a men's hat, and 2 pairs of women's summer pants. However, the women's pants came as shorts even though the packing slip says they sent pants. I will be sending pack the shorts as I am shorts and they are very long on my short torso.

Dealing with Milamode is a disaster. My first order was ok and I liked the items. However, while shopping again at their online site, I kept having problems with items that I was looking at being automatically placed in my cart. They have hundreds of items and navigating through their site is slow and confusing.

End Result: they later converted my abandoned pages to legitimate orders and shipped me piles of shirts, charging it without authorization to the card that I used on my first order. Many duplicates were sent. Ironically, the medium sizes are actually for small people. I ended up with twelve shirts that did not fit and which I had not ordered. On requesting a return authorization, they gave me the runaround and demanded that I could return the twelve shirts to China and wait for a refund. Shipping would be at my expense. This Chinese company has no facility in the United States for customer service. Never Again! I am drafting a letter to my credit card company requesting a refund directly from them.

Size XL was tiny, perhaps a med or small actually. Material listed as "cotton-blend" was 100% polyester. Material was thin. Basically, the shirts are unwearable and I'm out $100. Buyer beware. Sigh.

Milamode.com -- We already sent you the order # in our first email. The tape on the package tore the # off. With that being said, your return policy is a TOTAL SCAM. I shall never purchase from you again. Amazon is the only place to safely purchase and receive a return that is not an impossible shell-game con....I purchased an additional 2 shirts that have still not arrived, and trust me that will be the end of our business with you. You are a dishonest business. You get the customers $$$$ -- and make SURE any return is impossible. I am a businessman myself -- and you can be sure of a scorching review online. In fact, I am going to copy & paste this very email. The pitiful thing is you ASSURE customers you have EASY returns. WHAT A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU are not going to be happy with Milamode, mark my words, and if not by a minor issue that we all will say the heck with, it'll be for the highest probability of MANY things that will disappoint you and all from one shirt: wrong size, crapy material, loose and un-stiched thread ends, etc, etc. I passed on customer service; who needs to start all that headbanging BS. Buyer beware to the 10th power!

XL shirt would maybe fit 15 year old. Not the greatest quality and return was a joke- wanted me to return it to China on my dime for a refund though it shipped from Cal. Take your chances on this one but for me- never again.

Completely agree with the other comments regarding sizing. I got three shirts - two of which were ok but the third ( the one featured prominently in ads) was way too small. When I sent them a picture showing the problem comparing two of their shirts labelled the same size and showing the huge differential - they offered a 15 % discount (!) . Otherwise there was a return policy that would have had me paying to return the shirt costing me nearly it’s value in shipping with all kinds of ‘requirements’ they could easily have used to reject the return and refund.
So you roll the dice on sizing with this group. In my view this aggrecious false size labelling problem does make this fall into the ‘con’ category - beyond just bad quality control. Stay away.

Ordered 4 men's shirts (without checking reviews). 3 arrived 34 days later. All 3 were labeled 4XL. 2 were approx 2XL, one was a Large. Tons of reviews on the Net with same exact problems.
Return process is NUTS! You have to pay shipping and customs fees back to China with they do not cover.
They immediately offer you 15% if you just keep order (and toss in trash!).
It costs too much to ship items back so I accepted the 15%.

As others have warned, the shirts you get don't look like the ones depicted on the website. And don't bother trying to get help from customer service. All you will get is an incessant flood of email saying they need more information, more photos, and a collection of irrelevant items (after I sent three photos they requested of the defective shirt, they emailed back saying I needed to send a photo of the discarded packaging). I saw the poor reviews and wrote customer Milamode service before ordering asking if the reviews were correct. I was assured that the poor reviews were posted by scammers and posters with a vendetta against the company. I now know why the posters may have had a vendetta. Milamodes representations are false and their products are not representative of what they advertise. Save your money and spare yourself frustration by not dealing with this dishonest company.

Purchased several shirts and shorts from this Chinese company. I am a size 2xl but ordered 4xl because reviews said the clothes ran small on milamode. After several weeks I received the order and was shocked at how small they were. My son who is a large could barely fit in them! When I contacted customer service they said I would have to pay shipping back to China with no guarantee they would receive the return package! The other option was to accept a 15% discount. They clearly mislabel and sent the wrong clothing and I am out about $100. Beware of this scam company!!!

The shirts that I received look nothing like the shirts that I ordered. They are very, very cheap products that I would not wear anywhere.

milamode is a c**p outfit! with c**p clothes! if you go by their size chart the item will still be 2 sizes to small. Then they will give you a refund, but only if you ship them to China at your expense stay away from Chinese sellers. There are plenty of quality products out there with out contributing to their thievery.for every good transaction there is more than 1 bad one

MILAMODE is nothing more than a scam and a con. You order and pay for items and they send you whatever they have in stock regardless of the size and either you accept it or get a percentage off if you ask for a refund. I refuse to be played for a sucker and if you deal with this company you are on your own and it's your own fault if you get scammed.
