Therefore, recipients who have receive the fake email should not follow the instructions in it, they should just ignore it.

The Microsoft scam contacted me yesterday for $399.00 saying My contract had run out and they were renewing it for $399.00. I was unaware of having anything like this. I believe it was a scam. So far I can't see where they have charged the $399.00 but I can't afford it. Please help with this scam.
