01204 Scam HMRC and other Calls: Beware

Online Threat Alerts (OTA)

The telephone number 01204 411114 and loads of similar numbers starting 01204 keep calling me about HMRC fraud and warrant for arrest if I didn’t key 1. But, what they didn’t know was I work in IT and was able to forward correct phone number, time, date etc to HMRC fraud department. If you get these calls, please do not follow the callers' instructions. If you have received similar calls, please share your experience by leaving a comment below.

Just received a call from 01204 104196 stating that I will be arrested due to tax fraud if I do not press 1, I didn't press 1, so not sure what will happen now, if anything.

Just happened to me for tax fraud and a warrant would be issued and id be arrested soon... pressed 1 told them im on benefits. They apologised said they would take my name off their system so I wasnt called again. It was an indian lady n the number was 01204 824454 she was actually quite polite

They keep calling me saying it was the HMRC and that I had been reported for tax fraud and please press 1.

"01204 448061 won’t stop calling me, decided to answer asked for a Mr (with my surname) I’m a Miss. Told them the only Mr is my father who I have had no contact with for over twenty years. I insisted they told me what it’s about. The man said it’s extremely confidential and would not. Has anyone else had a call from this number?! I want to know who it was!" Received via email

01204 025349 - Automated insurance call chasing a recent accident to my 9 year old daughter. Challenged them then a person heavily accented answered and put phone down on me. Total scam and ambulance chasing insurance company. Harassment. Not had an accident in 10 years
