I received a text message from "AT&T" about an "unsuccessful payment" and to call telephone number 707-661-8029. The problem is, I didn't attempt a payment and have never received this kind of text before. Customers beware! Mine was a txt from 1(410) 100-003. 300 dollar payment failed. Call AT&T 707 661 8029. Auto payed 2 weeks prior. So they know my carrier and my phone number and the payment amount which changes every month. What else do they know and how did they get the info?
Same scam, different numbers for me. My payment is made automatically-and it's not time for the payment to be made, so it made me immediately suspicious. Mine reads:1 (410) 200-500FRM:AT&TSubj: Unsuccessful paymentCall 6616893381MSG: 0440
Received the exact same text on July 28. My phone is on a corporate account. It appears as a scam.
Received same text today. They used a different message code. My phone is on a corporate account auto paid monthly. Obvious scam, just wanted to see how many people got this text already.

I received this call today and I felt it was a scam.
I got this message 2 days ago. Checked on line to be sure I was paid up.
