The website, l3smr.info, is a scam and fake. The website is being used in Fake "We Found a Package from Owed to You" text messages like the one below being sent by online spammers and scammers. Therefore, recipients are asked not to click the link in the fake text messages, just delete the messages.

A "We Came Across a Package" Scam

we came across a package from April owed to you. Please claim ownership and schedule for delivery here: hxxp://l3smr.info/i4COxU9OvC

So far we have received the fake messages from the following telephone numbers:

  • 917-705-3361
  • 917-941-7096
  • 401-225-7193

I’ve been getting inundated with these garbage “claim your package” texts over the past several days. Never the same number twice, so blocking the numbers won’t work. You can report them to your cell phone provider (most providers have a way to do that), but who knows if they can do anything to stop or even slow down these scammy messages. Best to just summarily delete them.

I have received that message from (714) 343-5907 on 8/28/2020 and (718) 801-3535 on 8/27/2020. I did not click on the link but also noticed a small unrecognized fraudulent charge on my debit card and my credit card both under $1 on 8/27/2020. Best be keeping an eye on things for any other suspicious activity.
