The fake "AT&T Unsuccessful Payment" text message below, which asks recipients to call telephone number 909-768-8410, is a scam. The scam, which claims the recipients' payment was unsuccessful or is on hold, is being sent by scammers who are attempting to steal their potential victims' personal and financial information by asking them to call fake AT&T telephone number 909 768 8410.

Got the same message on 8/4/2020. A quick check of my credit card showed I paid on my bill on 7/30/2020 so clearly this is a scam.

I received this text on 08/03/2020 - the say after the auto pay was made. Fortunately, I knew what it was. AT&T confirmed it was fraud today.

I received the same fake message 8/3/2020 @ 7:58 pm. Just so happens my husband also paid our AT&T wireless bill the same day.
