Elon Musk Club Email Scam with HTML Attachment

The "Elon Musk Club" email scam with an HTML attachment titled "Elon Musk Fan Club" below, is being sent by cybercriminals. Therefore, recipients are asked not to attempt to open the attachment, they should just delete the email. Cybercriminals usually trick potential victims into opening malicious HTML attachments, which can be used to execute code that steals personal information or download malware onto the recipients' computer or mobile device.

If you have already attempted to open the malicious Elon Musk Club email attachment, please scan your computer or mobile device with the antivirus installed on it. And, it is recommended that you change your online account passwords.

Legitimate companies will never send emails with an HTML attachment because they know how dangerous those attachments can be if sent by cybercriminals. Therefore, if you get an unexpected email with an attachment ending with ".html" or ".htm", it is recommended not to open the attachment.
