The "because of your continued use of venmo" text message below is a scam. The fake text, being sent by scammers, claims recipients have been awarded $100 and they should click link in it to claim their prize. But, the link goes to a phishing website that steal account credentials, personal and financial information.

I got two messages about this after having used it twice recently.
the first message goes:
"Dear Venmo User: you have been selected to receive a free gift valued at least $100 for a 2 minute survey soldierbbloiling.com..."
the second message goes:
"Because of your continued use of Venmo, you have been selected to take a $100 paid survey soldierbboiling.com"
both messages within minutes of each other
