The EDD alert scam text from 8437130566, which claims the recipients' Visa Prepaid card has been blocked due to suspicious activities, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scam is to trick recipients into clicking the link in the scam and fake EDD alert text that goes to a phishing website. The phishing website steals account credentials, personal or financial information.

If you were tricked into disclosing your banking account credentials or finanical information, please contact your bank for help.
The EDD alert text scam is also being sent from other 843 area code telephone numbers, not just from 18437130566.

I received the message this morning. How do they get this information?
I talked to Bank of America about this. They didn’t care.
This is the 2nd time I have received this text. What scum
I did too.. I reported and deleted but still managed to send a second message
I have received 2 messages also.
