GoAutoVin is a fake online website that claims to provide history reports of vehicles. The business address provided by the website is a residential address. Why would a website that claims to provide vehicle history reports to millions of customers, use a residential address?

If you Google their customer service number, you'll see that there are a couple of other scams vehicle history report sites with the same phone number and address. The sites are:https://www.autoreportslab.com/https://www.motovinreports.com/ where goautovin.com and the couple of sites above use the phone number 703-537-5033 and the same address: 6203 Yosemite Dr, Alexandria, Virginia, 22312.I sent an e-mail to abuse-instra.com to report these 3 sites. Instra.com is the registrar of these domains. We'll see if they can do anything about it. I submitted one of these complaints about a completely different scam vehicle history report (carfactsfinder.com) and the domain registrar of that site actually shut them down. I was surprised that just sending an e-mail to someone actually resulted in them getting shut down.
Please please please do not give these people your money. This is a fraudulent website. If you end up paying for these "services", please go to your bank and get a new credit card issued to make sure that they [goautovin] don't have your active credit card details stored.
My scammer's name was "Paul" He said he lived in Virginia when the car I was advertising isn't anywhere near Virginia. I kept calling him out on the scam but he never broke character. We went back and forth sending dozens of text messages (I was mostly just trying to mess with the dude)
Same thing, the guy named "Paul" is pushing me right now to purchase a report ONLY from GoAutoVIn and that`s why I did some googling.
A fellow named Justin was wanting me to get this report before he took a day off to come see my sled. I didn’t get a report. I asked for refund it was $35.95 us funds. Sadly I was taken. What a dummy

Justin just tried to get me too. Same lingo even. Thankfully I did a quick search online and found this. So thank you for posting and helping me out. It's a tough lesson to learn but hopefully it won't happen again.
A guy who called himself Robert wanted to buy my car. He said he had to take the following day off. Insisted that I purchase a report from GoAutoVIn. I offered a Carfax. He said it wasn't good enough. I offered two other company's reports. He said they weren't good enough. He said he had to see the GoAutoVIn report before coming to look at the car.
I had virtually the same thing. I got taken.
got a 808 area code (for Hawaii) and I am in canada...yeah insistant that I use only this site...thank you for posting this I thought it was a scam
SCAM WARNING!! So glad I checked into this and didn't fall for it. The guy with a 986 area code texted 'I took a day off from work tomorrow so that I can come see your car.' Also, "I already sold my car and I'm having to pay someone to drive me (80 minute drive) but I only trust this "GAV" site."I looked up the address on their website (in Arlington) and it is a residential address.
Got a response about my car from Alan (970-840-7472). He eventually asked me to send a report on the car. I sent him one from an approved NMVTIS provider. He told me the report was worthless and said he wanted one from goautovin. Called him out on the scam and he quit responding.
ALan is quite the shopper!! He just asked me to send him one too!
I’m glad I looked this guys number up. Thanks for posting it or I wouldn’t have seen it. He’s quite persistent but I enjoy wasting him time so he’s not wasting someone else’s
Received text from Steve. Stating he's interested in purchasing my vehicle. Requested that I used the site goautovin.com. Went to the site and it was tagged as a fake / scam site. SMH.
Got the same scenario from 318-900-9215 SteveHis pushy manner red flagged for me
I am getting this request from the number 1-320-200-0219 about using the goautovin.com website at this moment that is how I came across this story
Someone today inquired about a vehicle I have for sale. Strong insistence that I use GoAutoVin Website. Says he's in a town nearby with an Oklahoma area code (which puts up a red flag). Texts and gives me his email, give a name (Steve Woods), says he will buy it on the spot and reimburse me for the $35 report. Says he will call me tonight. Ha Ha Ha. I am emailing him a link to a scam alert video.
SCAM! Please stay away from any of these kinds of scams. A few things to note, they will use your post from CG or FB to get your number or DM you. Then they will be asked you to get the GOV (GoAutoVin) from www.goautovin.com. It looks legit, right? They will keep pushing you to get the report from this site. Also, they will make you an offer like paying you the fees to obtain the report.
SCAM! Please do not buy any reports these people ask you to buy. They're all fake. If you really want to show your vehicle history, please research credible websites in your area. For example CarFax in North America. Save your money and don't expose your Credit Card to these people.
