I was cleaning up old and tonight and discovered. Did not click link though. Just thought I'd add my experience to the others
I did not click on the link in a message that I received, but I replied to the text message with STOP. Was that a bad idea?
Yes, you should not respond to scam text because the scammers will know your number is active and continue to send you more texts. But, there is nothing to worry about, just be careful going forward.
"Free Msg: Your bill is paid for March. Thanks, here's a little gift for you: gasstreaming.com/hGODTrcHH9Free Msg: Your bill is paid for March. Thanks, here's a little gift for you: sleepykerry.com/k0xve97RWZ"I got this two texts. They look suspicious, they don't say what company is sending them. I searched online and it says it's a scam so don't click on them.
I have received this several times in the last few days as part of a group of 20 numbers. When I try to “stop” the texts, I receive this message: “recipient unable to receive message, Message blocking is active”. Does anyone know how to stop this spam?
My whole family has received one in the last few days. Luckily nobody has clicked on the link. Just delete and block. Its also coming from numbers with area codes that you may not even recognize
