I got a verification code in my email for Eversend, an international money transfer app. But I have never used Eversend or had an account with them. I didn't even know what it was until I looked it up. The links in the email genuinely go to Eversend's website, so it doesn't appear to be a phishing scam. All indications are that it's a real verification email.
Why would someone try to create an account with my email address? If they had or wanted my banking information wouldn't it make more sense to use their own email address to make the account? What are they trying to do? If you have any information, please leave it in a comment below.
