Is Rcapay a Scam? Review the Collection Company at rcapay.com

I received several calls from rcapay.com. No number phone. They didn't tell me what account it was. Nor did they leave me a reference number. The phone number they left was out of order.

They contacted me I don't owe anyone have almost perfect credit. SCAM

I received a call referring to a debt from my ex-wife,who I divorced in 1989.I really didn't need the undo STRESS and would like to sue them. Is there any information concerning a contact of this Company?

They change company names more than most people change their underwear. You can file complaints with you state attorney, and FTC. There is a cease & desist order in California against one of their former scams called ASG RECOVERS. In the filing (which you can view at the link) you will notice that while fined by the state they do not mention any contact information. They are legit. They buy old accounts that are no longer legally enforceable because of the statute of limitations. There is nothing illegal about what they do. Just know they cannot sue you. Ignore them. P

That is an outright lie. In order to collect ANY debt in over 44 states in the USA you must be LICENSED. This fraud is NOT licensed ANYWHERE in America. I mean how would you scammers even do so? Don't answer calls that you don't recognize the number, once you do you can't get rid of them. I got their calls and I don't owe anyone anything. Big time scammers

They call my business line. I have no debts. Pretty sure they are scammers

I block the number an another one calls. Each time from a different state. I have received no letters from this company. I guarantee this is a fraud.

I've received multiple calls from this company about some scam. There is not any way to reach a human being to ask for any details or to request that they stop contact. Getting tired of daily phone calls and reporting it repeatedly to the CFPB and TX Attorney General's office isn't helping. I tried to just see if I could get a hold of a human being, but no.

Omg!! They call me from a different number every day. I went On the site ..They say I owe a sand dollar bank. Which is the same bank listed in another scammer I had three years ago. I asked for a contract and a validation number from the one three years ago and the caller said they did not have time for that and hung up on me. I had not heard from them since… now it’s RCA pay. I am so done with these people. Scam scam scam

If it is a legal website why is every call from a different number?

They hire people to work remotely throughout the country which is why there are different numbers. It’s not a scam.

I got 3 calls from them. I went to web site out of curiosity requested my social security number.didn’t bite. Blocked call number they just changed numbers.

Heads up everyone! These scum scammers have started YET ANOTHER fraudulent debt collection scam. This time they are CAPITOL PORTFOLIO GROUP. The website was registered aprox 30 days ago. Calling from 380-888-2896.
Here is a transcript of their “new” message.
Yeah this is Gary with Capital portfolio group. Your account has been transferred to our office for immediate collections. We did wanna reach out to you out of courtesy before the action begins on this account. So give you a chance to resolve the account amicably. Please call us back as soon as possible stop any further action. Also you can hear your options via our phone system we can quickly resolve this with a few ... on-our(?) website if you prefer-capitalportfoliogroup.com. That's capital with two days our system also text you this link is needed. Just by calling us back. You can't afford to settle do the right thing. We can set up a small monthly payment plan also calling or again going to the website at capitalportfoliogroup.com. Also stop collections and interest on the account. My law required to inform you this communication is from a debt collector. Thank you.

I have received 2 calls and they both left a message on my cell 1 from a man 262-270-4294 another from a woman 380-204-9268 both leaving the exact same message. I have no abnormal depts ...This is a scam do not fall for it.

I received a voicemail also. SCAMMERS,SCAMMERS. I'M F...... TIRED OF THESE OVERSEAS COUNTRIES TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE IN THE USA.

They are not overseas. In fact the guy behind it is from Louisiana and has been charged before for this kind of scam.

What information do you have on them? I tried doing a ton of research back when they were ASG RECOVERY and all I could find was information about them being banned and heavily fined from the State Attorney General of California. They were using a contact number of 205-627-70004 back then. They have created 5 other companies since then. As of 30 days ago they have registered CAPITOL PORTFOLIO GROUP. They need to rot in jail.

I received a call from my voicemail regarding RCApay.com regarding a debt they said I have. This is a scam since I don’t have any debts that are not paid. Don’t fall for this scam

I received a call from the number (380) 204-9268. I let it go to voicemail. It was a recorded line talking about a debt owed and by law they was required to tell me. Then it directed me to their website. It's tax season so scammers like this are trying to hit up people to get as much money as they can. Be careful out there guys.

I recently bought a house n no collections ever came up from a divorce 13 years ago...I've incurred no debt since, so YES...THIS IS A SCAM..

I just received one from this number 854-300-2014. Won’t give me any actual information on what the amount is, who it’s from, or anything else. This is at least the 3rd time in a 2 month period that they have called.

just got my second call from them this week, phone numbers used: 231-293-1087 and 220-594-8010. the second call sounded more threatening than the first. they dont state a name or tell you what the debt collection is for - just that I need to go online and pay it. used the name and found this thread

I just got a call from 5673132780 same as everyone else. This is most definitely a scam.

I received a robotical call stating to pay my debt at rcapay.com it doesn't say my name but states that my tax refund will be confiscated. Which is not so because I have already received my tax refund. I am in the identity theft program with the irs so at this point the debt could belong to the person reporting with my info. Thank goodness im on top of my credit report
