Is Blue Rocket SEO a Scam? Bluerocketseo Invoice and Review

In 2018, BBB initiated an investigation into Blue Rocket SEO at bluerocketseo.net after receiving multiple complaints. The complainers claim that they were faxed invoices from Blue Rocket SEO indicating they all owed $95.87 for search engine optimization (SEO) services supposedly provided by the company. The complainers stated to the BBB they never hired the company to perform these services and have attempted to call the company, however, an automated message referred them to an email address, and they were unable to leave messages or speak to a live representative. BBB called the company and experienced the same message.

BBB emailed the Blue Rocket SEO to obtain more information about its services and ascertain its physical location as corporate registration for the company with the Texas Secretary of State could not be verified. The current address listed in Houston, TX is a post office box rather than a physical location. On March 4, 2018, the business began responding to complaints stating the following:

"Recently we moved our billing systems from a manual back office process to an automated ERP/Billing system called Microsoft Dymaics AX. In the process we hired a firm to help us move our data from one system to another in the process our list of leads that we purchased from a third-party vendor was mixed with our list of clients. When our new ERP system was implemented the system generated new invoices for our clients. In doing so about 50 invoices were generated that were not for active clients but rather leads that we were planning on prospecting. These invoices were generated in error, and they have reached out to every single company and organization explaining what happened and ensuring that there was no charge as no services were rendered. Again, our apologies we are actively working with our marketing department and IT department to ensure this does not happen in the future."

If you received an invoice, do not rush to pay it. Investigate the invoice and if you are not aware of it, do not pay it. Scammers know some people or companies will readily pay an invoice without due diligence.

And the same happened to my dental office. We got faxed bills with our street address and company name on them that said we owed $99.58. I've never heard of them before. It's a scam. They have a website listed as the one they are "boosting" that kind of sounds like our website, but when I go to it, it's just an error message, not a real website. These people and their ilk all need to go to JAIL!

Received invoice for $99.58 via fax which is due on May 31, 2023. We have never done business with this company. SCAM

And why would a company that supposedly focuses on auditing websites and creating "high quality links" be sending invoices through fax?
