Nations Benefits Data Breach Scam Notification Letter?

If you have received a Nations Benefits Data Breach notification letter, it is not a scam. NationsBenefits Holding, LLC, upon realizing that it and its customers had been compromised by a data breach at Fortra, the company filed a notification of data breach with the Montana Attorney General on April 13, 2023. According to the company’s official report, the event led to the disclosure of private and sensitive customer information to a third party. Once it was determined that customer information had been compromised, NationsBenefits immediately started notifying those whose information had been compromised by mail.

NationsBenefits started reviewing the affected files after learning that sensitive customer data had been made accessible to an unauthorized person. The company aimed to identify what data had been stolen and from which customers. The NationsBenefits data breach notification that is accessible to the public does not specify what information was compromised.

NationsBenefits sent notification letters to anybody whose personal information was exposed on April 13, 2023.
