The Enzo Clinical Labs Data Breach mail is not a scam. Enzo Clinical Labs had a cybersecurity incident that involved the unauthorized access of customer's information. On April 6, 2023, they identified a ransomware incident on their computer network. They immediately took steps to secure their systems and began an investigation with the assistance of a cybersecurity firm. The investigation determined that an unauthorized party accessed files on their systems between April 4, 2023, and April 6, 2023.
The files contained patient names, dates of service, clinical test information, and, in some instances, Social Security numbers. Patient financial and payment information was not involved in this incident.
Enzo Clinical Labs are mailing letters to affected patients and offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services to those whose Social Security numbers were involved. If you believe you are affected by this incident and do not receive a letter by July 5, 2023, please call their dedicated assistance line available at (866) 547-1115, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Enzo takes this incident very seriously and regrets any inconvenience or concern this may cause those who are affected. To help prevent something like this from happening in the future, they have and will continue to take steps to enhance the security of their computer systems and the data they maintain.

I called & wasn't given any more info that was in the letter. I questioned why does the letter say to call if they can't provide further info. Now I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me.
They probably acquired my info through a COVID test site. Remember that I was asked for ID before getting a PCR & rapid test. Then my info was given to their laboratory. It's a shame for their poor system that cannot keep patients' data safe.
I received a letter from Enzo about this. I had never heard of them and didn't know they had my information (allegedly). The letter said my information was compromised, but I was not offered complimentary credit monitoring. It did say they took immediate steps, but if that's the case, why did it take 2 months to notify me? Another suspicious detail: the letter that came in the mail had the return address of a real estate agent. Very weird.
Yes helpful, tells me it's legitimate as I got the same letter as above. Why ask me to sign in just to leave my feeback? Not signing in, but thanks for the info.
the letter from ENZO states 'ransomware incident', was this also an 'identity theft' incident?it is not clear in letters if client info was frozen in place or taken, did investigation by cybersecurity firm uncover what happened to affected information?
