I got a so-called Amazon Fraud Department call where the caller claimed that someone had tried to order iPhones on my account. I looked at the account and 7 iPhones were in my basket at £5500! He then told me what had been delivered in the past few days, that last 4 digits of my card and wanted to gain access to my account to remove the other person using it. To do this he asked me to access an app to allow remote viewing of my phone, this is where the alarm rang.
I told them I was not going any further but would call Amazon to check this was legitimate, and if so would call them back. Silence, phone went down and then you know! Called Amazon, and they said they will never call for information. However, the scammers had hacked into my account so the new last digits of my card, what I had ordered, address, etc, made the scam really plausible.
I have changed my password and reported it to the police. This is just to let you know in case you get a call as I thought I was pretty good in knowing when it was a scammer.
