CVS Loyalty Scam at cvsloyalty.com

CVS Loyalty Scam at cvsloyalty.com

The website, cvsloyalty.com, is another CVS Loyalty scam. CVS loyalty scams involve scammers impersonating company representatives via phone, email, or text to steal personal, financial, or Medicare information. Tactics include offering fake rewards, "free" shipping for prescriptions, or using phishing emails to steal login credentials. Protect yourself by never providing sensitive info over the phone, verifying, and checking your account directly.

Key CVS Loyalty/Reward Scam Types

  • Phishing Emails/Texts: Emails claiming you won a reward or survey prize, directing you to fake sites to enter credit card info for "shipping fees".
  • Impersonation Calls (Medicare Scam): Scammers call, sometimes spoofing CVS phone numbers, pretending to be pharmacy reps to verify Medicare details or steal prescriptions.
  • In-Store Fraud/Skimmers: Thieves may install hidden card skimmers at checkout, or in some cases, employees might fraudulently sign customers up for paid memberships without consent.
  • Account Takeover: Unauthorized individuals may use your phone number or app at checkout to steal your ExtraCare rewards.

How to Protect Yourself

  • Do Not Click Links: Never click links in unexpected emails or texts claiming to be from CVS.
  • Verify the Caller: CVS will not call asking for sensitive info like Social Security numbers or credit card details. If in doubt, hang up and call the official number on your card or the CVS website.
  • Check Account Security: Regularly monitor your ExtraCare account for unauthorized usage and update passwords.
  • Report Fraud: Report scams to the FTC or local authorities.

Just checked my voicemails and had one from them. Said I won something up to $200 to go onto said website. I went to check into it figuring it was scam and this pulled up on Google.
