Sports Direct Scam Websites

Sports Direct Scam Websites

Cybercriminals often create fake websites that look nearly identical to the official Sports Direct site to steal payment details and personal information. These sites typically run ads on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat) offering "too good to be true" deals, such as brand-name trainers for a fraction of their usual price.

A Fake Website

A Fake Sports Direct Website

The official website is sportsdirect.com. Avoid sites with variations like sportsdirectuk.live or sportsbrands.shop.

The copycat website impersonating Sports Direct lists heavily discounted items to look genuine and asks for your personal and payment information to purchase products. If you enter this information, you'll be handing it straight to the scammer. If you spot a site like this, report it to the National Cyber Security Centre and contact your card provider if you've already entered payment details.
