Do you Think Im Attractive - Virus Email Message

The email messages below have a virus or Trojan horse attached to them that will infect your Windows computer if you open them. The messages were designed to trick the recipients into opening the malicious attachments, disguised as photos, by asking the question: "Do you think I'm attractive?" or "You look terrible on this photo."

Here are the malicious email messages

Subject: Do you think I'm attractive? ;D|

The attachments are not photos, but  Zip or compressed files, which contain the Windows malicious executable files:

  • IMG1340805516-JPG.scr
  • IMG2285226341-JPG.scr

When we scanned these files, the following threats were detected:

  • Trojan/Win32.Badur
  • Win32:Malware-gen
  • Trojan.Win32.FakeAV.ABGT
  • Trojan.GenericKD.1445473
  • W32/Downloader.FG.gen!Eldorado
  • Trojan.Inject1.33462
  • Win32/TrojanDownloader.Onkods.U
  • W32/SmartFortress2012.ALH!tr
  • Trojan-FakeAV.Win32.SmartFortress2012.aoct
  • Win32.Troj.Undef.(kcloud)
  • TrojanDownloader:Win32/Onkods.C

Once your computer has become infected with this malicious Trojan horse, the cybercriminals behind this email message will be able to access and take control of your computer remotely from anywhere around the world. They may spy on you, use your computer to commit cybercrimes, or steal your personal and financial information.

Now, if you have already opened anyone of these malicious attachments, please do a full scan of your computer with the antivirus software installed on it. The name of the attachment may change, so be careful when opening email attachments.

Never open an attachment that has a name ending with “.scr”, because these are computer programs that can infect your computer with a virus or some other malware.
