The email message below, which appears as if it came from SureVoIP, claiming the recipients has a voicemail attached, is a fake, and the attachment contains a virus, Trojan horse or some other malware. The fake email message, which was sent by cyber-criminals, contains a malicious attachment that will infect the recipients’ computers if they attempt to open it, therefore, recipients of the malicious email message should delete it.
And, although the email message appear as if came from SureVoIP (@surevoip.com), it was not. Cyber-criminals are sending out malicious email messages and are spoofing the “From” address of the same email messages to make them appear as if they came from a legitimate company. This email spoofing technique has been used by cyber-criminals for years, to trick recipients into opening their fake and malicious email attachments or clicking on links that go to phishing or malicious websites.

Received via email: "Just got a message from SureVoIP saying I have message from 08404083655. I looked the site up online and found it is fake and you recommend forwarding message to you. Can't seem to forward and scared to do anything that might accidentally open the message so just forwarding the info."
I'm seeing this one once again, doing the rounds.
We received such today as well (July 29th 2016), but addressed to a private mailing list. I can think of only three ways this could happen; either one of the members of the mailing list got compromised and addresses stolen, the hosting company was compromised or a mail server handling emails which contained the mailing list address got compromised.Any way to figure out how these guys got a hold of what should be a completely private email address?
Here is another malicious email: "From: SureVoIP [mailto: voicemailandfax@surevoip.co.uk ] Sent: Friday, July 29, 2016 11:28 AM Subject: [Bulk] Voicemail from Anonymous 00:02:29 Message From "Anonymous" Anonymous Created: Fri, 29 Jul 2016 17:27:33 0100 Duration: 00:02:29 Account: att.net"
