How to Block Junk, Spam and Unwanted Mail in Outlook.com Phishing Scam

Outlook users who have received email messages similar to the one below, which claim that Outlook has noticed an usual amount of spam and login attempts to their accounts, should delete them and not follow the instructions in them. This is because the email messages are phishing scams sent by cyber-criminals to trick Outlook users into visiting phishing websites that will steal their Outlook usernames and passwords. The cyber-criminals behind the phishing websites will then use the stolen Outlook usernames and passwords to hijack their victims’ accounts and use them fraudulently.

Outlook users who have already been tricked by the phishing email messages are asked to change their passwords immediately, before their accounts are hijacked and used fraudulently by cybercriminals.
