The NHS Track and Trace alert scam texts below are of the many be sent by scammers. The Trace alert scams claim the recipients have been in close contact with someone who has contracted COVID and ask them to click a link to order a test kit. But, the link in the NHS Test and Trace website goes to a phishing website that steals personal and financial information, which the scammers will be used fraudulently.
The links in the NHS test kit text scam go to the fraudulent website: nhs.order-testkit-gb.com and nhs.uk-test-kits.com
On the fraudulent website, visitor will be asked to submit personal and financial information.
If the requested information is submitted, it will be sent to the scammers who will use it fraudulently.
