The EDD Card scam text messages below, which claim recipients' card has been frozen, made inactive, or deactivated, are being sent by scammers. The aim of the scam texts is to frighten and trick recipients into clicking the links in them. But, the links go to phishing websites that steal account credentials, personal or financial information.

an anonymous user from: Calaveras County, Copperopolis, California, United States

1 (843) 713-0566 sent a message with "EDD Alert: Due suspicious activities Visa Prepaid starting 4427434 has been blocked. Unblock at [phishing url] within 8 hours."
Don't want to post the full url since it's deceptive, but it starts with "mai-c." Be careful, since it's clearly a phishing site.
