How to protect yourself

  • Do not respond, click links, or call the number: Scammers use these tactics to steal credit card numbers, passwords, or even guide you to grant them remote access to your device.
  • Verify independently: To check if your account has legitimate charges, open the Wallet App on your iPhone, tap on Apple Cash, and review your transactions natively.
  • Report the message: Take a screenshot of the scam text and email it to reportphishing@apple.com.
  • Block the number: Block the sender on your iPhone to prevent future texts.

If you believe you have already interacted with a scammer and compromised your financial data, contact your bank or credit card company immediately to freeze your accounts and dispute any fraudulent charges.
