Fake Tyler Perry Facebook Page

The legitimate Tyler Perry Facebook page is located at:

To tell if a celebrity's Facebook page is authentic or not fake, Facebook users should look out for a blue tick or check mark right next to the profile name and move their mouse over it. If the following message is displayed, it means Facebook has verified that the page is authentic: "Verified Page - Facebook confirmed this is an authentic Page for this public figure, media company or brand."

This collecting of information by scammers is another like-farming, data mining or information-mining scam that we have seen before, which collects Facebook users' publicly available information for scammers and spammers. Once scammers have gotten a hold of the information, they will use it to make their scams more convincing to their potential victims, by referring to them by their names and providing them with information that they think only people that they know, would know.

For the spammers, users’ information is like gold. They will continuously send unsolicited messages and emails to their victims. So, Facebook users should be careful of what they like, share and comment on.

I have submitted quite a few reports on Tyler Perry fake posts in the past couple of days. I was glad to see this post.

I've seen many of these as well. There is a website in the sweepstakes niche full of fraud that started a little over 1 year ago. I think some of these fake spam messages are their "test" campaigns because right after the flood of these messages, their page will run something very very similar.

What benefit would ANY person receive spending a huge amount of money on a campiagn, that will be shut down within weeks.

You say "they will collect your personal information available on Facebook", but this is not true.

A Facebook page does not receive any personal information, let alone anything at all when you "like" their page or posts.

I have reported these fake pages over and over but fb does nothing. Friends keep sharing the garbage. I wonder why reporting them doesn’t get them shut down

If you get a request or find something on Facebook too good to be true, all you really have to do is go in the about section and look at their likes and you'll notice foreign movies and actors as likes that should give you the heads up..report and then block people and pages..scammers are everywhere

    • July 3, 2018 at 8:58 AM by an anonymous user from: Capitol Heights, Maryland, United States

Well that's easy, no celebrity is going to be adding random people to anything. If a celebrity you've never met in person adds you to social media it is 99% scam.

Kinda like if some p*rn star looking chick adds you at random, probably a bot.

    • June 28, 2018 at 1:20 PM by info

All them are fakes or scams because Tyler Perry doesn't sent out friend request.

  • February 9, 2018 at 12:46 PM by an anonymous user from: Indianapolis, Indiana, United States

Yes, I thought I was talking to them Perry myself on messenger it too, ask me if I was a child of the lord I said I have always been a child of the lord.

I would get messages once a day asking me questions about my life. I told whoever it was that I have a hard time getting by, but I still help other people. Then I was told when I was in church last night the Lord told me to bless 5 of my true fans and give them 25000 dollars then I was so excited till one of my coworkers got the same message.

Then I got a message for my information, like a dummy I give my address phone number then I get another message that I would be contacted and would have to choose western union or money gram. Then I thought I've told this person that I have had a bad like and I'm trying to find my path to get out of abuse.

And, I thought to myself surely this a miracle I was heartbroken and wanted a place to live close to my job so I could walk back and forth to work and would never have to worry about being mistreated anymore. That, someone, was going to help me but when I wrote back and told them that really wasn't asking I just wanted a friend and someone to talk to cause his plays and movies are my life. I didn't hear back so we will see. But, I don't think Tyler Perry would ask poor people for money. It just upset me cause I'm lucky if I get to eat every day; just broke my heart to know someone is out there using this good man's name to take from the poor.

They say that if I do that I will receive 10,000.00 dollars! I went along with that for awhile but then said no thanks when it came to giving out my information!

Just ignore them and do not give them your password. If you have, change it immediately. The real Tyler Perry would never ask for your password.
