But the file keeps wanting to download. How can I prevent the download through a browser (Chrome) on Windows 10? Thanks!an anonymous userhttps://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/users/#an-anonymous-userDec 31, 2017 at 1:42 PM by What is Hbpix? - is it an Adware or Virus, and is it Dangerous?an anonymous user from: Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires F.D., ArgentinaI had the same issue. With Chrome you can adjust the settings so that you are asked each time you download something where you want to save it. I've turned that on in the short term because I can manually cancel the download - hopefully, this will stop it downloading again while I figure out more about getting rid of it off my computer and stopping it from happening again.infohttps://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/users/#infoDec 24, 2017 at 2:08 PM by What is Hbpix? - is it an Adware or Virus, and is it Dangerous?infoYou will have to stop visiting the websites that are attempting to download the file. Those websites show advertisements that use that file.
