Instagram users who have received the "I Made This For You" or "I Created This For You" message asking them to click on a link to view, are asked not to follow the instructions in it. This is because the link in the message goes to a fake or phishing Instagram website that will ask visitors to sign-in. But, any attempt to sign-in will result in the visitors' account credentials being sent to the scammers or cybercriminals behind the scam.
Instagram users who have already been tricked by the "I Made This For You" scam are asked to change their password immediately before their accounts are hijacked and used maliciously.
The scammers are also using the following messages:
