Do not call 205-287-2786. This is because the fake "AT&T Unsuccessful Payment" text message below, which asks recipients to call telephone number 205-287-2786, is a scam. The scam, which claims the recipients' payment was unsuccessful or is on hold, is being sent by scammers who are attempting to steal their potential victims' personal and financial information by asking them to call fake AT&T telephone number 205-287-2786.

I got the same text at 3:58 AM this morning. I don't know where to report it to AT&T. Thanks for exposing it as a scam.

I received this text message on August 16, 2020 at 7:56am Central Daylight Time. I did not call the number, but instead called AT&T. My account had been paid and I learned this was a scam.

I got it at 5:43 am, one AT&T line and another on an MVNO AT&T operated line. Did not call back knowing both accounts had already been paid this month.
