The scam emails are fake invoices that claim potential victims' monthly subscription of their Geek Squad has been activated and $399 will be deducted within 24 hours. The scammers' aim is to frighten and trick their potential victims into calling them at 1-828-656-1857, which is a fake Geek Squad telephone number.
