EE Scam Guard - What is it?

EE Scam Guard - What is it?

EE Scam Guard is a subscription-based security add-on designed to protect customers from fraudulent calls, data breaches, and online threats. It is available exclusively to EE Pay Monthly mobile customers for approximately £1.00 to £1.50 per month (price may vary by plan or time of sign-up).

Key Features

  • Spam & Scam Call Labelling: Uses adaptive AI to analyze incoming calls in real-time. If a call is suspicious, it displays labels like "Likely Nuisance" or "Suspected Scam" on your screen before you answer.
  • Dark Web Monitoring: Regularly scans the dark web for your personal information (such as email addresses, bank details, or passwords) and alerts you immediately if your data is found in a breach.
  • Cyber Security Duo (Free Trial): Includes three months free of Norton-powered cyber security, providing real-time protection for up to two devices against malware, viruses, and ransomware.

Important Details

  • Availability: Only the main account holder can activate Dark Web Monitoring and the Norton trial. Additional lines on the same account will only receive the call labelling feature.
  • Limitations: It does not screen calls made through third-party apps like WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams, and it does not work when you are roaming outside the UK.
  • Contract: It operates on a 30-day rolling contract, allowing you to cancel at any time.

How to Manage or Cancel

  • To Add: Text SCAMGUARD to 150 from your EE mobile.
  • To Cancel: Text STOP SCAMGUARD to 150, or use the EE App by navigating to Manage > Mobile Add-ons > Scam Guard > Remove.
