Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
Beachbody (now rebranded as BODi) is not a scam, it is a legitimate fitness and nutrition company, but its business practices and historical sales model have drawn heavy criticism and legal trouble.
According to hundreds of customer complaints on platforms like Beachbody's Trustpilot, the company is notorious for hidden auto-renewals, difficult cancellation processes, and rigid refund policies. In fact, they previously settled a $3.6 million consumer protection lawsuit regarding unauthorized auto-billing.
It is alleged that Beachbody's own income disclosure statements consistently reveal that roughly 75% to 80% of coaches make less than $500 a year before expenses. A 2023 class-action lawsuit filed by Tycko & Zavareei alleged that over 25% of coaches didn't earn a single dime. Once you factor in mandatory monthly website fees, product orders to stay "active," and event tickets, the vast majority of participants actually lose money.
