Beware of www.silverscreen.cc - It is a Fraudulent Online Streaming Website

The website "www.silverscreen.cc" is a fraudulent content streaming website. The website which claims that online users can discover the most unique movies of all time, is similar to the fraudulent websites: www.geeker.com, lilplay.com, and tzarmedia.com. Online users who have used their credit cards on the fraudulent website (Silver Screen) run the risk of their cards being fraudulently charged for undetermined amounts, even when they have canceled their subscriptions.

Please continue reading below.

The Fraudulent Website - www.silverscreen.cc

www.silverscreen.cc

They (silverscreen) claim not to charge your credit card for the trial period but will do so anyway, even if you cancel before the trial period is up. Also, they will charge you to cancel your free registration, and will periodical charge your credit card for an undetermined amount of money. And, the website doesn't have some movies, books, and music it has advertised. I think this is another trick used to lure potential victims to the website.

Online user who have already subscribed to silverscreen.cc, are asked to contact their credit card company or bank for help to prevent the fraudulent website from fraudulently charging their credit cards, or refund their money if their cards were already charged.

Never heard of them, was in hospital when charges occurred in fact.
Seems a lot of various names taking monies from my prepaid credit card.

I think I know whom it is running the sites.

The people boasted about how they take small amounts at a time though in this case it was $80.
    Difficult to remove this ransomware.

I get these texts on my phone all the time. They come in under names of businesses I deal with, like Woolworths or Harvey Norman offering free stuff. I will not give out credit card details to these people EVER. Despite using government websites to have my mobile number taken offline these spammers keep on coming and what is very annoying they get you in by using legitimate businesses as the lead in. How do they get away with it?

I have been charged approximately $80.00 per months for the last two months. I am not happy about this and don't recall subscribing to this.

I contacted my bank today and they cancelled my credit card and are issuing me a new one.

Apparently this is the easiest way to stop them.

There must be some way someone can stop these arseholes from taking innocent people's money?

I have been to my Bank and explained to them the FRAUDULENT SCAMS these people are. So, needless say on their recommendation my Credit Card has been cancelled, that these supposed people SILVERSCREEN CC will be in for huge shock when they can no longer make access to my Credit Card for a service which I never ever subscribed to!

    Received via email:

"Hello! This is Nathan, a former subscriber of SilverScreen. I would like to report that SilverScreen is fraudulent because within my 2-month subscription that summed up to $100, I was never able to watch any movie in their streaming website because it's actually FAKE. Their COUNTERFEIT website only contains pictures of unique movies wherein if you click the play button in them, only a black screenshot appears. This is just a gallery of pictures, not movies. I deserve my $100 to be refunded by SilverScreen because it's really BOGUS.

Please scare SilverScreen that if they fail to refund my $100 as soon as possible, they would get arrested by FBI, Interpol, or any local police of that country."
