The fake text is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into calling the fake Chase telephone number 8586059622. If the fake telephone number is called, a scammer will answer and pretending to be a Chase customer service representative. The scammer will attempt to trick the caller into giving them their account credentials, personal and account information, which they will use fraudulently.

    Same here. Scammer acting as PNC Bank, referenced old closed out acct number.

    I actually rec'd two texts with same message but from PNC bank. One is from 6245 & the other from "wtou.

    I think they both reference the last 4 digits of an old credit card I had with PNC but I closed that out years ago.

    Yes, received the same message only regarding PNC bank in Pittsburgh
