Revolut card holders, beware of a scam. I got a call today from someone on a withheld number claiming to be from that company. They knew my name, but proceeded to tell me that 2 suspicious charges (attempts) were made on my card and named the sites of those tries.
When he asked me to walk through my account verification, I got a funny feeling and said I was busy at work and would ring Revolut directly. Sure enough, upon doing that, Revolut told me it was a scam call as there were no such charge attempts made.
The scammers speak with authority and urgency, and in fact while the first guy was speaking with me, a second call was waiting (which I took after I hung up on the first caller, and was also telling the same story). Be careful out there! Don’t be fooled just because they use your name. I almost fell for it.
