The caller had their name and said Huntington blocked a $1000.00 wire transfer from an IP address in Phoenix. The scammer wanted to send a link to their email to change their username and password. Thinking this was an actual customer service rep, they opened their Huntington app and saw no activity. They asked the caller to confirm the last 4 digits of their account number and the phone went silent. After speaking to a branch manager in person they advised Huntington will never call their customers using the 800 number and that it was an attempted scam. This person on the phone was very convincing.
