There are online scammers who are sending fake outstanding payment arrest warrants to potential victims and asking them to send payment via iTunes Gift card. Therefore, online users who have received the same emails and asked to purchase iTunes Gift cards and send it as payment are asked not to do so. This is because the courts or legitimate debt collection companies to do accept payment via iTunes gift cards.
The scammers may also trick their potential victims into sending iTunes Gift cards as payment for other frauds. So, once online users are asked to make payment via iTunes Gift cards, some cyber thief is attempting to scam them.
