Santander UK Phishing Scam - Account Summary (Current Accounts and Savings)

The email message below with the subject: "Account Summary (current accounts and savings)," is a phishing scam. The fake email message was sent by cyber-criminals to trick the recipients (Santander UK customers) into clicking on one of the links within it. The malicious links go to a fake Santander UK website created by cyber-criminals to steal their potential victims’ banking user name and password, or credentials. Santander UK is United Kingdom bank, wholly owned by the Spanish Santander Group.

Your new Account Summary has arrived in Online Banking

Your Account Summary includes details of any current and savings accounts that you have with Santander UK. If you need to complete a tax return, it contains the information you need for these accounts.

To view it simply Login on now select "e-Documents" from the left-hand menu from the "My Accounts & Transactions" tab.

Recipients of the phishing Santander UK email message, who have clicked on the link and have attempted to sign into the phishing website with their accounts’ credentials, should change their passwords and contact Santander UK immediately.
