Apple users who have the fake "security alert for your profile" email below, which claim that a sign-in attempt was blocked for their linked profile, are asked not to follow the instructions in the email. This is because the email is a scam that has links that go to phishing or fake websites that steal account, personal and financial information.

Apple users who have been tricked by the phishing email are asked to change their passwords and check their accounts for discrepancies and report any to Apple.

    I just got 2 of these emails from the same Amphitheatre Parkway location. Fortunately the From address was questionable. One from what looks like an adserver and the other from Excite, which I think handles job searches. I forwarded the emails to my cable provider.

    I believe this is a scam. Am I correct? Nexicom is a company in Canada. I am not in Canada.
