I received a "Job Offer" from Target email: job@jobs.target.com so I'm assuming it's the same scam because the wording is so similar to the others (and the grammar and punctuation aren't right). Also, none of the Target logos are clickable. Date: 1/12/21

"Target Shopper Reviewers Job Offer" Scam
an anonymous user from: Irvine, California, United States

I filled out the form, was accepted, and received a check today for $950 and instructions to buy $700 worth of iTunes cards.
I deposited the check, and then felt like something was off, so I googled this “job” and found this site. So I called the bank and had them reverse deposit the check.
They had already put a hold on it as a fraudulent check, so I’m glad I called.
Beware and don’t fall for this scam. I’m going to the police station tomorrow to show them the letter and the check and see if they can catch whoever is doing this.

Thank You, I received the same thing. Who would send a check for 950.00 to someone they never met and ask to by 700.00 of gift cards and send pictures of the cards with the pin and the amount. You really have to sit back and really look at what is going on. Sometimes you have to be better than the scammers.

"Target Shopper Reviewers Job Offer" Scam
an anonymous user from: Los Angeles, California, United States

Just got the same cashiers check for 950.00 and generic letter all in a priority mail folder. The credit union is legitimate in Florida. I didn't contact this person for work so I already knew it was a scam and I would never deposit any check into my account from someone I did not do business with. Be careful.

What measures should I take if I filled out the initial form? I then received a text telling me to email them, which I didn't. However, I did fill out the initial contact information. What should I do now?

"Target Shopper Reviewers Job Offer" Scam

With this scam, they send you a check and then ask you to purchase iTunes gift cards and send them pictures of iTunes gift card numbers with the PIN. Obviously this is how they get the real money back from you and you're stuck paying for a fraudulent check. So disappointed in myself for falling for this.
