Local Depot 28 Scam UK Post Office Text - local-depot28.com

Scammers are sending the Local Depot 28 scam text below with a link to the phishing website local-depot28.com. The phishing website purports to be the UK Post Office and claims there was an attempt to deliver a parcel but no one was in. It then requests a fee for the re-delivery and requests your credit card details and security code. But, if the requested information is sent, it will be used fraudulently.

    Message from 07871 761346 saying “Simon” had tried to deliver my parcel but no-one was in. Link to https://local-depot28.com. Glad I Googled it first to check for scams. Plus I have a Ring doorbell and no activity was recorded at any time that I didn’t recognise. Clever to use https though as it looks as if it would be a secure website.

    This very nearly fooled me as I am awaiting a parcel that I actually missed delivery of on Friday although I have been in all day I thought maybe the delivery person was having a I cba day and just pretended to deliver to get home quick, I got to where it asked for my card details and realised hold on they don’t ask for redelivery charges so double checked with my red “we missed you card” on the Royal Mail site and what a surprise it’s still “on the way”

    Pleased I looked. Simon tried to deliver my parcel today. Very clever as I haven't ordered anything. Wasn't expecting anything. I did look at the form to see they would change 1.25 to redeliver, never had them charge before. And seeing as I have just had my Facebook hacked, I am a bit more careful.

    You can spot by the wording that it's a scam! I'm expecting a parcel today, but I won't fall for this.
